Flights of Fancy: A Brilliance of Birds

lorikeet and childGuests follow a trail of discovery through this exciting area designed especially for families with young children that opened in summer 2012. Flights of Fancy features exhibits with an encounters theme, including three new aviaries filled with exotic birds (some you can feed), a new 4D theater, a children’s play area, a “Nursing Moms Nest” with all the amenities, and an inspiring backyard habitat for native birds.

Beginning in summer 2013, a real live “flamingo walk” featuring those most beautiful of birds in a daily parade through Zoo grounds will delight surprised zoogoers.
